For decades, Jofson has supported businesses with reliable forklifts and no-nonsense service. Built on trust, hard work, and long-term relationships—we’ve grown alongside our customers and never lost sight of what matters.
A family-run forklift business is born. Incorporated on 15 April 1977, Jofson Limited is launched by John Moore in Birmingham, laying the foundation for a service-oriented materials handling company.
Trusted for rebuilds, respected for quality. John’s daughter Rachel joins the business, as Jofson earns a reputation for rebuilding forklift trucks, working closely with Lansing Bagnall to deliver durable service quality.
New era, same service-first philosophy. Responding to industry cost trends, Jofson develops a strategic partnership with Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks, transitioning from rebuilds to supplying new equipment.
Exclusive regional partner. Formalising its long-standing alignment with Mitsubishi, Jofson becomes the official main dealer for Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks in the West Midlands, securing exclusive rights in the region.
Leadership passes from father to daughter. Rachel acquires Jofson from her father, John, as he steps down as Director. This transition marks the beginning of a new chapter focused on growth and long-term investment, whilst remaining focussed on engineering and service excellence.
National recognition for outstanding performance. Under Rachel’s leadership, Jofson receives its first Mitsubishi UK Dealer of the Year award for excellence in sales and service.
Expanding regional support. Jofson acquires Archway Handling, retaining its team to bolster service coverage and technical presence in Shropshire.
Service excellence continues. Jofson wins the Mitsubishi Aftersales Dealer of the Year award, reflecting their commitment to long-term customer support.
Major national contract sets future direction. Jofson partners with Kin Limited to deliver 130+ Mitsubishi forklifts to Dairy Crest – a collaboration that would lay the foundations for Kin’s acquisition.
National recognition following major contract success. Jofson is once again named Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks Dealer of the Year, recognising its outstanding performance in large-scale project delivery and customer service.
Professional alignment and importer independence. Jofson wins its third Dealer of the Year. That same year, Rachel forms RDD Enterprises Ltd, becoming the official UK importer of Mitsubishi and supporting Jofson and aligned dealerships.
Industry leadership acknowledged. Director Geoff Martin is appointed Chairman of the Fork Lift Truck Association, representing Jofson's commitment to sector-wide excellence.
Northern expansion with Martin oversight. Jofson inaugurates a 27,000 sq ft depot in Manchester’s Trafford Park—expanding reach in the North-West and North Wales.
A new Mitsubishi dealer joins the network. Endeavour Forklifts is founded as a Mitsubishi-authorised dealer in South Yorkshire, managed by Jason Reynolds. In 2022, it becomes part of the RDD Enterprises group, joining Jofson and others in a growing network of aligned dealerships.
Strategic growth through RDD. RDD Enterprises supports an investment in Bristol Forklifts, strengthening the group’s presence in the South-West with another experienced Mitsubishi dealer.

Unified branding in the North. Following its acquisition, Kin Limited is rebranded as Jofson North Ltd, bringing the northern operation under a single identity and aligning service standards across all regions.
Strengthening the importer–dealer framework. Global manufacturer Mitsubishi Logisnext formalises its UK partnership with RDD Enterprises Ltd, establishing it as the official importer and strategic hub for the Mitsubishi dealer network across the UK.
Legacy secured, growth enabled. Jofson Holdings Ltd is created to consolidate ownership and provide long-term stability for the business, supporting future growth and investment across the wider group.
Unified group, shared vision. Jofson Limited, Alto Handling, and Endeavour Forklifts formally merge to create a single, integrated organisation. The group combines decades of experience, regional expertise, and a strong service ethos built around long-term customer and employee relationships. The business is led by Jason Reynolds as Managing Director and Rachel Martin as Chief Executive Officer, with strategic support from RDD Enterprises. The merger strengthens the group’s national presence and reinforces its position as a leading independent provider of Mitsubishi materials handling solutions in the UK.
